Featured Artist, Betsy Eby

Betsy Eby has always been attracted to the idea of alchemy.  She uses a mixture of melted beeswax and resin on canvas, paper and birch panels, marking the surface with pigment and powdered graphite and birch, and then setting it with a propane torch, repeating the process several time to create beautiful images that are delicate and yet strong.  

 Her vision is beautiful, organic and uncomplicated.  That is a hard balance to achieve.
